Our Physiotherapy Services

How we treat and support your recovery

Care starts with understanding what matters to you. We combine a thorough assessment with appropriate treatment, guided exercise, and practical advice to create a plan around your needs and goals.

Tele-physiotherapy / Online Physiotherapy

Tele-physiotherapy, or online physiotherapy, has expanded the reach of physiotherapeutic care, making it accessible to a broader range of patients. This form of therapy is suitable for individuals seeking professional guidance for pain management, rehabilitation post-injury or surgery, and those needing advice on exercise and movement. It may be particularly beneficial for those who have mobility issues or time constraints that make in-person visits challenging. Eligibility for tele-physiotherapy typically includes patients with non-emergency conditions who can safely perform exercises and follow advice remotely, under the guidance of a qualified physiotherapist.

Benefits of Telephysiotherapy

  • Accessibility: Patients can access professional physiotherapy services regardless of their location, significantly broadening the reach of these essential services.
  • Convenience: Scheduling flexibility allows patients to receive treatment without travelling, fitting sessions into their daily routines.
  • Comfort: Receiving care in familiar surroundings enhances the therapeutic experience, contributing to ease and well-being.
  • Individuals with Mobility Issues: Reducing the need for travel, home and telephysiotherapy ensure that those facing physical constraints can still receive timely and effective care.
  • Residents of Remote Areas: By eliminating geographical barriers, these modalities make physiotherapy services accessible to those living far from clinics.

Hospital & Inpatient Rehabilitation Services

Innovative Physiotherapy Solutions (IPS) offers specialist inpatient rehabilitation services in partnership with private hospitals, acute hospitals, surgical centres, care facilities and healthcare providers. The service would focus on early mobilisation, functional recovery, prevention of hospital-related deconditioning and safe discharge planning—key components of modern inpatient rehabilitation.

The above creates continuity rather than ending physiotherapy when the patient leaves hospital. It also aligns with goal of preventing deconditioning, timely discharge and appropriate rehabilitation after discharge.

  • Post-operative rehabilitation
  • Neurological inpatient rehabilitation
  • Medical rehabilitation
  • Respiratory physiotherapy
  • Mobility and functional rehabilitation
  • Equipment and mobility-aid assessment and prescription

Peri & Post-Operative Assessment and Rehabilitation

Our physiotherapy service provides comprehensive peri-operative and post-operative assessment and rehabilitation for patients undergoing elective surgery, with the aim of promoting safe recovery, maintaining independence and supporting a smooth transition from hospital to home.

We support patients undergoing a wide range of elective procedures, including:

· Hip and knee joint replacements

· Intramedullary/sign nailing and other orthopaedic procedures

· Spinal surgery

· Other musculoskeletal and orthopaedic surgeries where ongoing rehabilitation may be required

Patients can book an initial physiotherapy assessment at home, allowing rehabilitation planning to begin before or following their surgery.

Initial Assessment

The initial assessment takes a holistic approach and may include:

· Education about the patient's condition and planned or completed surgery

· Discussion of rehabilitation expectations

· Pre-operative exercises and physical preparation

· Post-operative assessment

· Mobility assessment

· Home environment assessment

· Home adaptation recommendations

· Individualised rehabilitation planning

· Exercise programme development

· Advice on pacing, activity modification and safe return to daily activities

Post-Operative Rehabilitation

Following surgery, patients can receive ongoing physiotherapy to support:

· Restoration of mobility and functional independence

· Improvement of strength, balance, flexibility and endurance

· Safe progression of walking and other functional activities

· Recovery of confidence with movement

· Gradual return to activities of daily living

· Progression of the prescribed home exercise programme

The service aims to prevent falls and unnecessary admission to hospital by seeing a patient before an injurious fall occurs or after a fall to rebuild strength, balance and confidence.

  • Clinical Assessments: One-to-one evaluations of your walking stability, muscle strength, blood pressure, and medical history.
  • Home Hazard Assessment: Physiotherapy home visits to spot tripping hazards, poor lighting, or missing handrails. Also, recommendation of mobility/transfer aids to mitigate falls risk.
  • Exercise Classes: Supervised group or individual sessions either face to face or virtual focused on falls prevention education, backward chaining training, strength and balance exercises.
